A guide to BOTTLE PHOTOGRAPHY

———————————————————————————————————————————-

Our studio is a leader in product and packaging photography and our reputation was built in the wine and beverage industry.

The basic requirement for any marketing and advertising of wine and beverages is a clean and slick photograph clearly depicting the product and it’s design.

We have designed a photographic rig that allows us to produce consistent quality with quicker turnaround while still customising our lighting according to the varying bottle shapes and label designs. This also keeps costs down for our clients, particularly when they supply us with multiple bottles.

Sure you can shoot your own bottles..

Considering the time and expense that goes into the production of wine and beverages, amateur depictions of your product only short change your investment and reflect a lower quality and standing in the marketplace.

Our attention to detail involves removing the back labels of whites, sparklings and rosés, adjusting the lighting to retain maximum clarity and detail in the label; especially with reflective designs; and retouching of minor imperfections in the label and glass.

Our service also includes the removal of the background (deep etching) and the retention of a subtle reflection or shadow to give the bottle a proper ‘grounding’ so it doesn’t look like it is floating.

With background removal the bottle image can then be placed into any document or designed media.

Our high quality bottle shots are a small investment that project quality across all promotional mediums.

FROM $99* PER BOTTLE PLUS A ONE OFF $99 SET UP FEE

Regardless of the number of bottles you need photographed, we charge a one off set up fee of $99 plus $99* per bottle for up to 8 bottles supplied in the one session. The set up fee is waivered for volumes greater than 8 bottles

This rate is applicable if the bottles supplied are clean and the labels are straight and in line with the capsules. It is also preferable that the labels don’t run through the bottle seams if possible.

*An additional cost may be incurred if:

  • Labelling isn’t quite straight or doesn’t line up and needs correction, or the bottle seams are visible through the label

  • Some label designs incorporating foil or high build varnishes require extra attention, often a separate label shot is combined with the bottle image.
